Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership offers local Primary and Secondary school teachers further training in the inclusion of a pupil with a disability into the PE class.

Inclusive Clubs/Disability Awareness Workshops

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership offers workshops around the inclusion of people with disabilities into sport. We aim to support the work of coaches and tutors in the application of their coaching knowledge and skills to create an environment that encourages people with disabilities to participate in sport and physical activity.

Swimmers Helpers Course

dlr Sports Partnership hold a swimmers helpers course each year.

The course is ideally suited to helpers, assistants and family of people with a disability.

This day long course is a mix of theory and practical sessions and teaches participants methods on how to assist a person with a disability in the water.  Correct methods of entry & exit and what other supports are required.

On completion of this course, each participant receives a certificate from Swim Ireland.
