Walking For Health Flyer Jan 2019Sign up now for a 5-week walking programme in Dún Laoghaire

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership are setting up a new 5-week walking group on Saturday mornings at 11am for approximately 40 minutes starting on the 19th January. At only €10 for all 5 weeks this programme will cater for all fitness levels, but in particular those looking to get back to activity and exercise. It will be a great excuse to get out, be active and make new friends.

Meeting at Dún Laoghaire Harbour Plaza, each week the group will walk a different route such as the pier, the Metals and the coastal walkways taking in some of the historical sites the area has to offer.

This free training provides inforamtion on elements such as leading a group, local route planning and management, health and safety, insurance cover.

The training takes place at Pearse Museum, St Endas Park, Rathfarnham on Wednesday , 28th November from 9.45am to 12.45pm.

Active Exercise Flyer FinalAre you over 55 and living in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown? If so why not come along and bring a buddy to a FREE Active Exercise session in the dlr Leisure centres where you can try new activities and have fun.

During European Week of Sport in September, dlr Leisure are teaming up with DLR Sports Partnership and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to organise open activity mornings (10am to 12pm) in the four public leisure centres. Anyone in the County over the age of 55 is invited to come along to one of these fun mornings in Loughlinstown (24th Sept.), Meadowbrook (25th Sept.), Monkstown (26th Sept.) and Ballyogan (27th Sept.).

 

Engage Clonskeagh 002The HSE are pleased to offer FREE Engage Workshops to service providers and practitioners. These sessions are delivered by qualified Engage Trainers and seek to expand the quality and quantity of local work in the area of men's health and wellbeing.
