Communities Integration Fund€526,000 available for local community projects in 2019

Mr. David Stanton, TD., Minister of State at the Department of Justice and Equality with special responsibility for Equality, Immigration & Integration, today announced funding of €526,000 for community integration projects to be carried out in 2019.

The Communities Integration Fund will provide grant funding for local community projects that support the integration of migrants. Applications can now be made online to the Office for the Promotion of Migrant Integration at the Department of Justice and Equality.

The four leisure centres will introduce these target sport games from March with the intention to create a team that can go forward to compete in the National Go For Life Games in DCU in June, where teams country wide come and compete for a day.

FlyerThis is a fun and social 4 week walking programme suitable for all fitness levels. Lead by two walking experts, it is heavily subsidised at just €8 for all 4 sessions. The group will meet outside the Grainstore Cafe in Cabinteely Park each Saturday at 10.45am starting on the 23rd March.

  • Funding represents significant increase on 2018
  • €12.84 million for core activity of 58 National Governing Bodies
  • €7.29 million to support work of 29 Local Sports Partnerships
  • €8.46 million to support High Performance programmes
  • €1.93 million in direct athlete investment

Department of Sport 1024x340The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Shane Ross T.D. and the Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Brendan Griffin T.D., today announced that €40 million is being made available under a new round of the Sports Capital Programme (SCP). The SCP is the Government’s primary vehicle for providing support to sports clubs and communities to develop sports infrastructure around the country. Applications can only be made online from 9am on Friday 7th September until 5pm on Friday 19th October, 2018.
