Street Velodrome, the pop up event which turns any public space into a heart- pounding theatre of cycling action is coming to the LexIcon in the heart of Dun Laoghaire on Wednesday 14th June.

Street Velodrome brings all the excitment and drama of Olympic style track  pursuit racing right into the heart of the community.Local school children and members of the local community have been invited to take part in this exhilerating event on June 14th to get on track and give cycle sport a go.

The first 30 1st & 2nd Year Students & the first 30 Adults  to to like, comment & share our Facebook page automatically get an invitation to the event. There is also an open session between 5pm - 6pm.

Dublin City Centre, Dun Laoghaire and Blanchardstown will all play hosts to the opening weekend of the 2017 Viking StreetVelodrome TV Series, the world’s most accessible cycle sport.

The main televised event will take place in front of Custom House on Sunday 11th June. This will be supported by fringe events held in Dublin’s Smithfield Square (12th June), Millennium Park in Blanchardstown (13th June) and at the LexIcon in Dun Laoghaire on 14th June.

The event at Custom House will also see children’s racing for 3 to 11 year olds in the highly entertaining Sharks v Tigers competition. Exciting young local cycling talent will also be showcased in the NexGen Series for 12 to 16 year olds. Both competitions are completely free to enter and all equipment and coaching is provided.
