The Irish Judo Association has declared October 2012 National Judo Month. To celebrate this fact all Irish Judo Association registered clubs will be offering a FREE come and try Judo lesson to anyone who would like to try judo for the first time during the month of October.

Simply visit their website www.irishjudoassoction.ie/clubs to find a club near you and contact the coach to arrange your FREE lesson.

Also in October we will be staging their most high profile  Judo Tournament of the year, The Irish International Open Judo Championships.

This tournament will be held in the prestigious 4 star City West Hotel & Conference Centre, Saggart, Co Dublin on the 27th & 28th October. This year promises to be one of the largest attended events in Irish judo history.

The event hosts a number of age band categories  including minors (u12) Cadets (u16) Junior (u20) Senior (O20) and Veterans (O35) in a variety of weight bands.

Last year for the first time they introduced a Special Needs Judo category with great success and will be continuing that success again this year.

Spectators are very welcome to come along and experience this fantastic international event.
