Local Sports Partnerships organise Club Development Seminar
Following on from the very successful inaugural Club Development Seminar held in the Aviva Stadium in 2010 the Dublin, Wicklow & Kildare Local Sports Partnerships are calling all sports clubs in the region to sign up for their 2nd Annual Club Development Seminar at Croke Park on Saturday 19th November 2011. (Note: This seminar was postponed from its original slot on August 27th).
Sport in general, and the club structure in particular, is under enormous pressure whether in relation to fund-raising, subscriptions or simply retaining its membership. Allied to this is the constant need for volunteers and the increased levels of professionalism and scrutiny that club mentors and volunteers are subject to. This seminar with leading speakers on issues such as budgeting, strategic planning and volunteer recruitment has been set up to help clubs to tackle the principal problems they face and to ensure they are well positioned for the future.
This year the Sports Partnerships have developed a website for the event with details on the format and speakers and allowing for registration and payment online, see www.eventelephant.com/thefutureofyourclub. This will make it easier and quicker for people to book into this event.

This should then be completed and returned with payment by cheque or postal order to South Dublin County Sports Partnership c/o County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24. The fee of €20 per person (+ online registration fee of €1.40) includes lunch, free parking, an information pack and supporting material.
The variety and level of expertise on offer will be of great benefit to clubs and this seminar looks to be even stronger than in 2010.
