Boccia

Boccia is a target Sport played by individuals, pairs or teams of people with physical disabilities.  It is a strategic version of the game bowls. DLR Sports Partnership currently runs Boccia in Loughlinstown Leisure Centre; the sessions take place on Wednesdays between 11.30am and 1.00pm. Read more...


Powerchair Football

Powerchair football is a competitive team sport for people with physical disabilities who use power wheelchairs. The game is played in a gymnasium on a regulation basketball court. Two teams of four players use powerchairs equipped with footguards to attack, defend, and spin-kick a 13-inch (330 mm) football in an attempt to score goals. Read more...


Surf 2 Heal

Surf 2 Heal began in Cork a few years ago, and is a surfing initiative for children with an autism spectrum disorder. East Coast Surf Club and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership wanted to run a Surf 2 Heal camp for children from the County, and so Surf 2 Heal DLR was born! Read more...
