In 2019 DLR Sports Partnership organised and delivered a wide range of training courses, workshops and targeted physical activity programmes for all ages, levels of ability and sporting types. Working with a range of partner agencies, in total nearly 9,100 people were engaged with across the year with initiatives and highlights listed below.
If you are looking for something to get you on the road to a healthy and active 2020, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership have a few ideas for you. We are organising a range of initiaitives to help you find an activity that is fun and appropriate to your fitness level.
Here is a list of some of the events and programmes set for January and February, but there are lots of other sports and activities taking place in the County, so just contact us to discuss what might suit you.
Start an active and healthy 2020 with a FREE public walk on the 18th January as part of Operation Transformation!
If you are looking for something to get you on the road to a healthy and active 2020, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership has the perfect event for you. As part of our aim to encourage residents of the County to get active, a FREE 4km public walk will be held on the 18th January in Marlay Park at 11am (registration from 10.30am).
This event is being held in conjunction with Sport Ireland and RTE’s Operation Transformation programme. On this day every County in Ireland will have a similar walking event to cater for all levels of fitness, but in particular those looking to start exercising again.
