01 Siel Bleu FlyerDún Laoghaire Rathdown Sports Partnership is delight to partner up with Siel Bleu to roll out 2 different FREE 8 week online exercise programmes for the over 55s. These classes are suitable for all fitness levels and can be done in the comfort of your own home.

The first class is a Strength & Balance class on Tuesdays starting on the 23rd of Feb until 11th May @ 12:30. This class is designed to help people build strength in areas to improve balance issues. Using a wide range of functional exercises we will aim to teach people how to exercise at their own level and finding the balance of a safe and effective exercise. The second class is a Mobility & Stretch class on Wednesdays starting the 24th of Feb  until 12th May @ 11:00am. This class is designed to take people through a full body mobility routine from a seated or standing position. Covid Grant FlyerIn December 2020, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Sports Partnership was delighted to assist 36 local clubs with Covid-19 related costs and expenditure totalling €43,000. Funding of €15,000 has also been made available to support the Parkruns in the area once they can return.

The COVID-19 Club Small Grant Scheme is part of a series of COVID-19 related funding schemes from Sport Ireland, following the announcement of €70 million of funding by the Government to support the sports sector in response to the Covid-19 crisis.

Sport Ireland Covid FundingMinister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin TD, and Minister of State for Sport & the Gaeltacht, Jack Chambers TD, today announced the allocation of €5,804,828 in funding for the COVID-19 Supplementary Grant Scheme.

In November, an unprecedented €85 million funding package was announced for the Irish sport sector, which has been significantly impacted by the various Covid-19 restrictions imposed since March 2020. €5.8 million of that funding was ring-fenced to address any additional and immediate needs that may arise in the sector as a result of the recent Level 5 restrictions.
