Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership would like to invite applications from sports clubs and organisations under its Club Participation Grant Scheme 2023. The purpose of this grant scheme is to provide assistance to sports clubs/organisations based in the County to develop or expand targeted participation initiatives and the provision of training for volunteers/coaches.
This Club Participation Grants Scheme aims to support sports clubs, coaches and volunteers to develop greater participation among target groups as reflected in the DLR Partnership’s Strategic Plan 2018-2022. As such, for the 2022 grants scheme applications are invited for initiatives that will increase participation in sport and physical activity among girls/women and people with disabilities, especially within an area of disadvantage.

Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Sports Partnership are calling on you, to get out and #BeActive for European Week of Sport 2022 which runs from the 23rd – 30th of September. There will be events across the County and all over Ireland giving people of all ages and abilities the chance to #BeActive and try out a range of different sports.
Sport Ireland, the National Co-ordinating Body for European Week of Sport in Ireland hope that this year’s event will inspire even more people than previous years and has funded flagship as well as local events run by the National network of Local Sports Partnerships.
Want to take part in a fun active event for all the family and all abilities? If so register now for the dlr Community 5K, taking place at 2pm on Saturday 8th October 2022. This inclusive event returns for its 13th year in full force with over a thousand participants expected to be running, walking, jogging or rolling the 5km scenic route around Kilbogget Park.
Taking place during Dun Laoghaire Rathdowns ‘Festival of Inclusion’, this annual 5km event prides itself on being fully inclusive, suitable for all ages, abilities and fitness levels. With a DJ on hand to add to the joyful atmosphere, each participant will be chip-timed as well as receiving an event t-shirt and uniquely designed medal on crossing the finish line.
