Club Development & Participation Grants Programme
From 2009 to 2012 Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership has administered an annual small grants programme, funding for which is provided through the Irish Sports Council.
The purpose of this grant scheme is to provide assistance to sports clubs/organisations based in the county of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown in support of new participation initiatives, club development, coach/volunteer training and the purchase of non-capital equipment. Funding is intended to support those clubs not already in receipt of significant core and/or additional funding.
This grants scheme aims to support sports clubs, coaches and volunteers to develop greater participation among target groups as reflected in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership Strategic Plan 2009-12. As such, applications that seek to increase participation in sport and physical activity among girls & women, people with disabilities, older adults, ethnic minorities and the unemployed, especially within an area of disadvantage, are favoured under both categories.
Please note that due to reductions in funding received from the Irish Sports Council, this grants programme will not be available this year.
