Draft County Sports Participation Strategy
We are delighted to announce the launch of our 2013-2017 Strategic Plan on 28th January 2014.
This County Sports Participation Strategy 2013-2017 is a plan that will engage a long-term focus on using all available resources to increase participation in physical activity and sport in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown.
This strategy will focus on core target groups with a proportionally lower level of population in the county while maintaining a high level of inclusiveness for all. The success of the past few years proved that the most effective way to achieve mutual goals in this area of active participation and health is through communication and collaboration.
The initial 2009-2012 Strategy focused on addressing concerns and issues in relation to access, information and providing supports to clubs and communities. This new Strategy will build on the achievements of the 2009 strategy and has adopted a long-term approach to increasing participation and the benefits of active living.
